Vietnam advances cultural preservation and education reforms

Vietnam is implementing various initiatives to preserve ethnic cultural identities and reform the national education system. In schools, there is an increasing focus on integrating traditional culture into the curriculum. For example, Quyet Thang High School established a Muong ethnic culture club that focuses on folk songs, traditional costumes, musical instruments, cuisine, and folk games. The club has grown to over 300 members and works to revive traditional gong performances and the Muong script.

On a broader scale, the education sector is undergoing management reforms to improve training quality and adapt to artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Following Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, the industry is working to refine policies, enhance high-quality human resource training, and reorganize educational institutions. Recent restructuring has reduced the number of public educational facilities by approximately 50%, helping to address teacher shortages by reassigning surplus leadership staff to teaching roles.
