Vietnam expands digital transformation to rural areas and residential clusters

Digital transformation initiatives are expanding across Vietnam, focusing on bringing technology to rural areas and local residential clusters. In Ha Giang province, efforts by the electricity sector have brought power and mobile signals to remote villages, enabling residents to access the internet, use social media for communication, and promote local agricultural products.

In Da Nang, local authorities are implementing digital transformation models at the residential level. In the Lien Chieu ward, support points have been established within residential groups to help citizens access online public services. These points assist with administrative tasks such as birth and marriage registration, business registration, and tax filing. The model utilizes electronic identification (VNeID) and artificial intelligence to guide users through digital forms, reducing the need for travel to administrative centers.
