Vietnam advances diplomatic ties with Kazakhstan, China, and Mexico

Vietnam is pursuing various diplomatic and domestic developments. Internationally, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Le has expressed commitment to deepening the strategic partnership with Kazakhstan through cooperation in trade, investment, transport, and culture. Vietnam also continues to prioritize friendly ties with China as a strategic choice in its foreign policy. Additionally, President To Lam highlighted the growing economic and trade partnership with Mexico, noting the two nations as leading trading partners in their respective regions.

Domestically, Vietnam has been named the top foodie destination in the 2026 NZ Herald Travel Readers' Choice Awards. In Ho Chi Minh City, social security agencies reported that 100 businesses have delayed social insurance contributions, affecting over 10,000 workers. Meanwhile, Da Nang City approved a VND4.185-trillion social housing project to provide more than 3,200 apartments for low-income residents.
