Vietnam advocates for global disarmament and AI governance

Vietnam is advocating for increased international cooperation regarding disarmament and global arms control. At the United Nations, the country has called for strengthened dialogue to reduce nuclear risks and promote the peaceful use of outer space.

In addition to disarmament, Vietnam is emphasizing the need for multilateral dialogue on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence governance, and the management of emerging technologies. The nation also stressed the importance of addressing the aftermath of landmines and explosive remnants of war, as well as controlling small arms and light weapons.

On a regional level, Vietnam continues to promote the rule of law and the peaceful settlement of disputes through legal reforms and international cooperation. This includes participation in the 4th ASEAN-China Judicial Forum held in Da Nang, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation within the digital era.
