Vietnam Airlines adds direct Ho Chi Minh‑Phuket flight and restores Da Lạt‑Liên Khương services

On 2 July, Vietnam Airlines inaugurated a new nonstop service between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket, operating four round‑trip flights a week with Airbus A321 aircraft. The launch ceremony in Hanoi was attended by Vietnamese and Thai officials, and the addition raises the airline’s total Vietnam‑Thailand frequency to nearly 70 weekly flights.

Separately, Vietjet and Vietnam Airlines are preparing to resume services to Da Lạt’s Liên Khương Airport when it reopens on 19 August. Together they will offer 91 round‑trip flights per week, linking Da Lạt with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hải Phong, Vinh and Đà Nẵng. Ticket sales have begun, with fares from about 1.19 million VND for Hanoi‑Da Lạt. The reopening restores direct domestic connectivity after more than five months of suspension.

Both developments aim to boost tourism, trade and passenger convenience across Vietnam and with Thailand.
