Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-9 completes North American flight

Vietnam Airlines recently completed a notable flight to North America using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (registration VN-A868) featuring a unique Chim Lac livery. The aircraft departed Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport on September 20, traveling to Anchorage, Alaska, before continuing to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Following its operations in the New York area, the aircraft arrived at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Canada on September 23, marking the first time flight VN1 has appeared in Ottawa. The special design, which incorporates the Chim Lac symbol inspired by Dong Son culture and Vietnamese bronze drums, was introduced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam Airlines.
