Vietnam Airlines partners with AWS and Visa for digital transformation

Vietnam Airlines has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Visa and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its digital transformation. The agreements were presented in New York during the official working visit of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm to the United States.

The partnership with AWS focuses on three core areas: artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and in-flight internet services. The airline and AWS will evaluate the application of generative AI and other AI models across various operations, including flight operations, maintenance, corporate management, and passenger care. Additionally, the collaboration aims to implement in-flight internet systems to ensure continuous connectivity for passengers.

Simultaneously, the agreement with Visa aims to expand the airline's digital payment ecosystem and service utilities. These strategic moves are intended to transition Vietnam Airlines into a comprehensive digital airline, prioritizing data, advanced technology, and personalized customer experiences.
