Vietnam and Australia exchange expertise on public governance
The Vietnam-Australia Forum focused on strengthening cooperation in public governance, leadership capacity, and organizational management. The discussions aimed to support the effective operation of Vietnam’s two-tier local government model through administrative reform and digital transformation.
Experts and officials from both nations, including representatives from the Australian Public Service Commission and the Australian Services Agency, exchanged experiences on building professional public services. Key topics included enhancing policy implementation, promoting organizational culture, and utilizing digital technology and data for local governance.
Naomi Cook, Acting Deputy Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, expressed Australia’s readiness to share expertise in leadership development and institutional connectivity to support Vietnam’s public sector operations. The forum is a key initiative of the Vietnam-Australia Centre, supported by the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
