Vietnam and Bulgaria Sign MoU to Boost Medical Education and Research

Hanoi's University of Medicine signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Medicine Sofia during a July 20‑25 visit to Bulgaria, establishing a long‑term framework for academic exchange, joint research and collaborative projects. The agreement envisions faculty and student mobility, joint scientific conferences, shared curriculum development and cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy. Vietnamese ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet highlighted education as a core pillar of bilateral relations, noting the contributions of Vietnamese graduates from Bulgarian institutions to Vietnam's health sector.

The partnership is set within the broader Vietnam‑Bulgaria Strategic Partnership and will also tap EU programmes to support joint projects, further strengthening ties in health, science and technology.
