Vietnam and Cambodia to boost inspection agency cooperation

Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung received Cambodian Minister of Inspection Sok Soken in Hanoi to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two nations' inspection agencies. The meeting focused on exchanging experiences and identifying measures to enhance the effectiveness of inspection activities, improve state management, and refine legal institutions.

Prime Minister Hung highlighted the positive development of bilateral ties, noting that political trust and defense-security cooperation remain pillars of the relationship. Economic cooperation also showed growth, with two-way trade reaching 8.7 billion USD in the first eight months of 2026, an 8.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Prime Minister expressed support for increased collaboration between ministries and agencies to prevent violations and better serve citizens and businesses in both countries.
