Vietnam and France accelerate strategic bilateral cooperation

Vietnam and France are entering a period of accelerated bilateral relations, characterized by frequent high-level exchanges and strengthened political trust. Following the official visit of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm to France, both nations are working to translate political confidence into concrete cooperation across sectors including trade, energy, space, transportation, defense, and education.

Economic and investment cooperation remains a cornerstone of the comprehensive strategic partnership. Recent discussions between the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and French business associations have focused on five key areas: information technology, infrastructure, aerospace, energy, and healthcare/pharmaceuticals. Vietnamese officials have reaffirmed their commitment to creating favorable conditions for French enterprises to invest and operate stably within the country.
