Vietnam and India are working to deepen their Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. In Hanoi, General Secretary and President Tô Lâm met with Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties.

The relationship between the two nations is characterized by long-standing traditional friendship and mutual trust. Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1972, the partnership has evolved through several stages, including the establishment of a Strategic Partnership in 2007 and an upgrade to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2016.
