Vietnam and Laos launch $1 billion Long Thanh‑Vientiane real‑estate project

Vietnamese developer KN Vientiane Group and Laotian real‑estate firm Real Concept signed a strategic cooperation agreement to build a $1 billion mixed‑use development in the Long Thanh‑Vientiane Special Economic Zone. The 557.28‑hectare project, the first Vietnamese‑owned venture granted a 99‑year land lease in Laos, will include upscale villas, an international golf course, a 5‑star hotel, a hospital, schools and a shopping centre. High‑level representatives from both governments attended the signing, including former Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan and Vietnam’s ambassador to Laos, Nguyễn Minh Tâm. The partnership aims to deepen bilateral economic ties and attract further foreign investment to the region.

The initiative also offers extensive incentives such as foreign ownership rights, long‑term residency visas and tax breaks, positioning the zone as a modern, high‑growth hub for trade and tourism between the two ASEAN members.
