Vietnam and Laos prioritize strengthening strategic bilateral relations
Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng met with Vanhxay Phongsavanh, a member of the Politburo and Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission of Laos, during a high-level visit to Vietnam.
Prime Minister Hưng emphasized that Vietnam places the highest priority on strengthening and developing the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations. The discussions highlighted positive results in recent bilateral relations, particularly in the coordination of government projects and deepening political trust.
Both parties expressed a commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including defense, security, economy, trade, investment, education, and culture. Additionally, the leaders discussed the importance of improving national governance, building strong state apparatuses, and intensifying efforts in anti-corruption and waste prevention to support sustainable socio-economic development.
