Pasqal and FPT propose quantum computing partnership in Vietnam

French quantum technology company Pasqal and Vietnam's FPT Corporation are proposing a strategic partnership to develop quantum computing capabilities in Vietnam. During a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, Pasqal representatives outlined plans to establish Vietnam as a regional hub for quantum cloud services in Southeast Asia.

The collaboration aims to provide quantum computing access to universities, research institutes, and enterprises. Key areas of focus include joint research on algorithms, the development and manufacturing of quantum computers, and specialized human resource training. Pasqal intends to support local talent through skill transfers and by recruiting local engineers to build a foundation for quantum science in the country.

In a separate technological development, FPT and South Korea's NAVER Cloud have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand their ‘AI Factory’ partnership across the Asia-Pacific region. This agreement focuses on joint technology development and making NAVER Cloud’s HyperCLOVA X model available to FPT enterprise customers to facilitate AI deployment without the need for independent infrastructure.
