Vietnam and Singapore hold first Strategic Dialogue

Vietnam and Singapore have initiated the first Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Dialogue to strengthen bilateral ties and pursue a resilient shared future. The meeting was co-chaired by Tran Cam Tu, a Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat, and Chan Chun Sing, Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence.

During the discussions, Vietnamese leaders expressed a desire for closer cooperation with Singapore to address shared challenges and contribute to regional peace, stability, and development. Additionally, high-level meetings took place between Tran Cam Tu and Desmond Lee, Chairman of the People’s Action Party and Singapore’s Minister for Education, to further diplomatic engagement.
