Vietnam and South Korea deepen semiconductor and AI training partnership

Vietnam and the Republic of Korea have agreed to expand cooperation in semiconductor manufacturing and artificial‑intelligence training. The bilateral initiative will involve joint training programmes for Vietnamese engineers, technology transfer, and collaboration on AI‑driven applications in the semiconductor sector.

The partnership aligns with Vietnam’s broader push to build large strategic technology firms, upgrade digital infrastructure and strengthen its position in emerging tech fields such as quantum computing, post‑quantum cryptography and IPv6 adoption. By tapping South Korean expertise, Vietnam aims to accelerate its digital transformation agenda outlined in the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57, which targets at least ten large strategic tech enterprises by 2030.
