Vietnam and South Korea expand cooperation in digital governance and technology
Vietnam and South Korea are strengthening bilateral cooperation across public governance, digital government, and high-tech sectors. A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics recently visited Seoul to discuss training strategic cadres and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) within the public sector.
Key areas of focus include policy execution, local management, and disaster response. Both nations plan to explore hosting a dialogue on public governance and AI in Hanoi by 2027. Additionally, a cooperation framework is being developed between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and South Korea’s Local Government Officials Development Institute (LOGODI).
In Da Nang, efforts are underway to deepen technological ties with South Korean partners. The city is prioritizing high-tech sectors, including semiconductors, green energy, smart cities, and AI. Da Nang aims to improve its investment environment and digital transformation to attract South Korean enterprises and foster highly skilled human resource development.
