Vietnam and Thailand celebrate cultural ties in Udon Thani

Vietnam and Thailand celebrated their cultural and educational ties through a series of events in Udon Thani, marking the lead-up to the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2026.

A Vietnam-Thailand Cultural Festival was held in collaboration between the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen and Rajabhat Udon Thani University (UDRU). The festival aimed to showcase the traditions of both nations and reflect on five decades of comprehensive strategic partnership, which has expanded cooperation in economy, investment, tourism, and education.

Additionally, the first Vietnamese language library in Thailand was inaugurated at the Vietnam Studies Center of Udon Thani Rajabhat University. Initiated by the Vietnamese Consulate General, the library serves as a cultural hub for learning the Vietnamese language, viewing photo exhibitions, and exploring Vietnamese music, art, and cuisine. The Vietnam Education Publishing House contributed nearly 100 titles, including over 600 books ranging from children's picture books to literature and history, to support the facility.
