Vietnam announces new high-level government appointments

Vietnam has announced several high-level government appointments within the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Ha Tien Thang, formerly the Deputy Director of the Hung Yen Department of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Employment. Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized that the Department of Employment must focus on modernizing the labor market, improving human resource forecasting, and developing a national employment exchange and database. The ministry also aims to enhance online public services to reduce costs for citizens and businesses.

Additionally, Luong Hoang Thai, previously the Director of the Trade Remedies Authority, has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. Minister Le Manh Hung noted that this appointment strengthens the ministry's leadership capacity to manage expanding responsibilities in industry, commerce, energy, and international integration. Mr. Thai brings over 30 years of experience in international economic integration and multilateral trade.
