The Vietnamese government has approved a list of 12 additional headings to be integrated into the national legal codification system. Under Decision No. 1733/QD-TTg, signed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau, specific ministries have been assigned to lead the codification of these new categories.
The new headings include teachers, digital technology industry, artificial intelligence, civil defense, people's air defense, management of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum relic site, e-commerce, specialized courts at international financial centers, transfer of prisoners, extradition, civil mutual legal assistance, and criminal mutual legal assistance.
The deadline for completing these additions to the legal code is July 15, 2027. The Ministry of Justice is tasked with guiding and monitoring the implementation, with a final report due to the Prime Minister by July 31, 2027.
Additionally, the government issued Decree No. 345/2026/ND-CP regarding national reserves, providing detailed regulations on the management, use, and import/export of national reserve goods.
