Vietnam assigns drafting of 22 legislative projects for 2027

Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau has signed Decision No. 2061/QD-TTg, assigning 12 ministries and ministerial-level agencies to lead the drafting and submission of 22 laws, ordinances, and resolutions within the 2027 legislative program.

For the third session of the 16th National Assembly in May 2027, eight projects are scheduled for submission in February and March 2027. These include laws on water supply and drainage, militia and self-defense forces, meteorology and hydrology, disaster prevention and control, construction materials, national defense, inspection, and amendments to the environmental protection tax law.

For the fourth session in October 2027, 12 projects are slated for submission in July and August 2027. These cover areas such as occupational safety and health, enterprises, dykes, geology and minerals, science and technology, export and import taxes, road traffic order and safety, national defense and security education, diplomatic ranks, commercial mediation, administrative procedures, and cultivation. Additionally, the Ministry of Health is tasked with drafting amendments to the ordinance on the prevention and control of prostitution.
