Hanoi auctions villas belonging to former AIC Chairwoman
The Hanoi Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency has successfully auctioned several high-value properties belonging to Nguyễn Thị Thanh Nhàn, the former Chairwoman of AIC Group. One prominent villa located at 99 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem District, was sold for approximately 277 billion VND (over $10.7 million). This property, which had been left vacant for nearly a decade, was seized as part of investigations into corruption and bidding violations related to the Dong Nai General Hospital project.
In addition to the Tran Hung Dao villa, authorities have also auctioned a second property on Nguyen Huy Tu Street in Hai Ba Trung District. The new owner of the Nguyen Huy Tu villa has reportedly converted the space into a cafe, though local authorities noted that the renovation was conducted without the required permits. Other assets previously seized from Nhàn, including apartments at Pacific Place and additional land holdings, remain part of the ongoing legal proceedings following her involvement in multiple medical and technology-related bidding scandals.
