Vietnam authorities address land disputes and certificate delays

Authorities in Vietnam are working to resolve long-standing land disputes and administrative bottlenecks affecting various residential and urban projects.

In Quang Ninh, over 1,000 secondary investors at the Ha Khanh Urban Area (Phase 1) project have yet to receive land use certificates. The delay is attributed to the developer, FLC Group, failing to fulfill financial obligations and complete necessary technical infrastructure and housing construction. Local officials have urged FLC Group to prioritize these obligations to enable the issuance of certificates.

In other regions, provincial authorities are reviewing complex complaints regarding land reclamation and urban planning. This includes resolving issues for 72 households in Hoa Binh Ward where previous planning decisions were revoked due to project terminations, and addressing land disputes in Yen Thuy commune. Officials are focusing on reviewing legal records and land origins to guide the issuance of land use certificates in accordance with the 2024 Land Law.
