Vietnam auto market sees deep SUV price cuts in June

Car manufacturers in Vietnam launched aggressive summer promotions, slashing prices on a range of SUV models. Subaru offered up to 310 million VND off the Forester, while Hyundai cut the Santa Fe by about 220 million VND and reduced the Tucson’s price by 68 million VND. Suzuki’s Jimny received a 180 million VND discount and Mazda’s CX‑8 fell by 60 million VND, each deal accompanied by accessories or service packages.

Kia also reduced its Seltos lineup, with base versions now sold for roughly 519 million to 659 million VND after discounts of 40‑60 million VND, bringing the model’s price close to that of a B‑segment sedan. Dealers cite intense price competition as the motive, aiming to clear inventory and stimulate demand in the mid‑year market.

These promotions span both imported and locally assembled SUVs, providing Vietnamese consumers with unprecedented cash‑price reductions and additional perks such as free registration fees, extended warranties, or accessory bundles.
