Vietnam automotive market shows varied segment performance in July 2026

The Vietnamese automotive market showed varied performance across different segments in July 2026. In the small multi-purpose vehicle segment, VinFast VF 5 led with 4,407 units sold, followed by the VinFast VF 6.

In the C-segment sedan market, the Mazda3 maintained its leadership with 194 units, followed by the Honda Civic. The D-segment SUV segment saw the Ford Everest take the top spot with 849 units, with the Mazda CX-8 in second place.

The pickup truck market has shown signs of recovery despite recent volatility. Data from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) indicates that for the first seven months of 2026, pickup sales reached 14,764 units, an 8.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025. While the market experienced fluctuations—including a significant dip in April 2026—overall growth has been supported by demand and new model introductions like the Toyota Hilux.
