Vietnam boy diagnosed with early-stage stomach cancer

A 12-year-old boy in Vietnam has been diagnosed with early-stage stomach cancer after experiencing persistent abdominal pain and jaundice for over six months. While his family initially attributed the symptoms to hunger or indigestion, medical examinations revealed the malignancy.

Medical experts note that while dietary habits such as consuming white congee with salted vegetables, eating leftovers, or frequent intake of fried foods are common, they are not the sole cause of cancer. Stomach cancer typically results from a combination of various risk factors acting over a long period. Experts emphasize that white congee lacks sufficient protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals to serve as a comprehensive nutritional foundation for long-term health.
