Cambodian National Assembly Speaker Visits Vietnam

The President of Cambodia’s National Assembly, Samdech Khuon Sudary, will travel to Vietnam from July 27‑29, 2026 at the invitation of Vietnamese National Assembly Chair Tran Thanh Mân. The high‑level visit is aimed at deepening parliamentary cooperation and reinforcing the long‑standing "good neighbourly, traditional friendship" between the two countries. Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vũ highlighted the trip’s significance for expanding comprehensive, sustainable bilateral ties, while officials noted continued collaboration in defence, trade, investment and tourism. The delegation will discuss mechanisms for joint legislative work, exchange of expertise, and coordination on regional initiatives, building on a series of recent senior‑level exchanges dating back to early 2026.
