Vietnam Buddhist Sangha marks 45 years of cultural preservation
The Central Cultural Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha is organizing a series of events to commemorate its 45th anniversary (1981–2026). The celebrations, which include cultural, academic, artistic, and spiritual activities, are scheduled to take place on October 17 and 18 at Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ninh Binh province.
During a press meeting in Hanoi, Most Venerable Thich Tho Lac highlighted the Board's role in preserving Buddhist cultural values and contributing to national identity. A central component of the anniversary is a national scientific workshop titled “Vietnamese Buddhist Culture in the Digital Age: Practice and Development Orientations,” which aims to explore how Buddhist culture can continue to evolve and spread within a modern, digital context.
