Vietnam business news: M&A activity and dividend announcements
Vietnam's market saw several notable M&A and equity activities between September 7 and September 11. CII Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company and its subsidiary, CII Invest, increased their stake in PC1 Group to over 13% by purchasing 550,000 shares. Additionally, Nhat Viet Securities (VFS) approved a plan to acquire nearly 15.2 million shares of Alpha Reinsurance Joint Stock Company through a private placement at 10,000 VND per share, totaling approximately 152 billion VND.
Other transactions included Mam Xanh Investment JSC increasing its ownership in Quang Ngai Urban Environment JSC to over 37%, and Ho Chi Minh City Securities Corporation (HSC) purchasing 300,000 shares of Nafoods Group. Meanwhile, Japan's Nissha announced the sale of its 60% stake in USM Healthcare to the company's founder, Vo Xuan Boi Lam.
In separate news, Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation (EEMC) announced a 30% cash dividend for 2025, equivalent to 3,000 VND per share. This marks the company's 12th consecutive year of cash dividend payments. Despite a 2% increase in revenue in the first half of the year, EEMC reported a 25% decrease in after-tax profit compared to the previous year due to rising costs.
