Vietnam celebrates Vietnamese Women’s Day with diverse activities
Various organizations, schools, and local authorities across Vietnam are holding events to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women’s Union and Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20.
In local communities, activities include cultural exchanges, sports competitions such as volleyball and folk dancing, and charity programs providing gifts to women and orphans in difficult circumstances. In educational settings, schools like Mac Dinh Chi High School and Le Quy Don High School have organized programs to foster gratitude, emotional connection, and digital competency among students and teachers.
In specialized regions, women on the Truong Sa islands participated in commemorative meetings and cultural performances to honor their contributions to national defense and social development. Additionally, Vietnamese peacekeepers in Abyei engaged in cultural exchanges and gift-giving with local students to strengthen international friendship. Corporate and medical sectors also joined the celebrations through themed activities, such as nutritional contests for workers and mental health support programs for pregnant women.
