Vietnam-China youth program begins in Guangzhou and Guilin

The “Red Journey: Research and Study Program for Vietnamese Youth” commenced on August 24, 2026, in Guangzhou, China. Organized by the China People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the program runs through August 28.

During the opening ceremony in Guangzhou, Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, encouraged youth to act as peace ambassadors and contribute to strengthening Vietnam-China relations. He noted the historical significance of Guangzhou, highlighting its connection to Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities and the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In Guilin, Guangxi, the program included a dialogue focused on “Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation.” Participants from both nations discussed methods for turning creative ideas into practical value. Representatives emphasized the importance of connecting universities with enterprises and suggested increased cooperation in sectors such as technology and cross-border e-commerce.
