Vietnam implements educational restructuring and new social policies

Vietnam is undergoing significant administrative and educational shifts as the 2026-2027 school year approaches. Several provinces, including Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Quang Tri, are implementing large-scale restructuring of public educational institutions. These measures aim to streamline management, optimize resources, and improve educational quality by merging schools and reducing administrative overhead.

In the medical sector, Hanoi University of Medicine has begun training 18 new doctors and graduates as reserve officers to enhance professional discipline and readiness. Meanwhile, in Gia Lai, agricultural authorities are conducting training to manage planting area codes for coffee and durian to support export traceability.

Economic and social policies are also evolving. New personal income tax regulations for 2026 will increase family circumstance deductions, impacting payroll management for businesses. Additionally, in Dien Bien, new support policies for personnel involved in drug prevention efforts are set to take effect in August 2026. In the border regions of Lai An and Nghe An, significant investments are being finalized for new boarding schools to improve educational access for students in remote areas.
