Vietnam coffee exports reach record $8.5 billion
Vietnam's coffee exports reached a record $8.5 billion during the 2025-2026 season, according to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA). The country exported 1.8 million tons of coffee, a 21% increase in volume compared to the previous season, though total revenue saw a slight decrease due to market price adjustments.
Green coffee beans accounted for 1.65 million tons of the total volume, generating $7 billion. Vinh Hiep Co., Ltd. emerged as the leading exporter of green coffee beans, shipping nearly 180,000 tons and contributing over $836 million, which represents approximately 10% of the industry's total export turnover.
A significant trend noted by VICOFA is the industry's shift toward deep processing. Exports of processed products, such as instant and blended coffee, reached approximately 142,600 tons and earned $1.5 billion, marking a 15% increase in volume and a 14% increase in value compared to the previous year.
