Vietnam commemorates historical revolutionary sites in Tu Vu and Tan Trao

Vietnam's historical sites in Tu Vu and Tan Trao are being highlighted for their roles in the nation's revolutionary history, particularly during the August Revolution and the resistance against French forces.

In Tu Vu commune, the Tu Vu Victory Monument commemorates the 1951 battle where Regiment 88 successfully attacked a key French defensive position on the Da River. Following the merger of Tu Vu, Dong Trung, and Hoang Xa communes, the region has focused on socio-economic development, investing over 385 billion VND in 80 infrastructure projects and upgrading 28 km of rural roads.

In Tuyen Quang province, the Tan Trao National Special Relic site preserves the locations where Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary leaders directed the 1945 August Revolution. The site includes various historical landmarks such as the Na Nua hut and the Tan Trao banyan tree, where Vo Nguyen Giap read Military Order No. 1, signaling the start of the liberation movement.
