Gold prices in Vietnam fluctuate amid global recovery

Gold prices in Vietnam have shown significant volatility between October 27 and October 28, 2026. SJC gold bars saw a slight increase on October 28, with prices rising to approximately 139 million VND/tael for buying and 142 million VND/tael for selling, marking a recovery after a period of decline.

In the ring gold segment (9999), prices have varied across major brands such as DOJI, PNJ, and Bao Tin Minh Chau. While some brands reported increases in ring gold prices, others remained stable or experienced slight decreases. The spread between buying and selling prices remains a notable factor for domestic traders.

Globally, gold prices have demonstrated a recovery trend, climbing back above the 4,000 USD/ounce threshold. This rebound is attributed to cooling crude oil prices, which has eased inflation concerns, and market anticipation regarding the Federal Reserve's upcoming monetary policy decisions. However, a strengthening US dollar and rising Treasury yields continue to provide resistance to further upward momentum.
