Vietnam commodity prices rise: pork stable, rubber up, coffee and building material costs increase
Domestic pork prices remained stable in early June, with the lowest price of 62,000 VND per kilogram recorded in Cà Mau and the highest of 68,000 VND per kilogram in northern provinces.
Rubber prices on the world market surged sharply as demand stayed strong and supply in Southeast Asia faced challenges. At the same time, domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands began to climb after a period of decline, and construction material costs are expected to rise modestly as demand for public‑sector projects and social housing picks up. Vehicle sales fell 12% in May, marking the second consecutive month of decline for Vietnam's auto market.
