Vietnam commune-level authorities strengthen power control
Following the restructuring of administrative apparatuses and the implementation of two-level local government models, commune-level authorities in Vietnam are assuming increased responsibilities. These duties directly impact citizens and businesses, covering sectors such as land management, construction, public investment, finance, and social security.
To prevent power vacuums and ensure effective control, there is a growing emphasis on shifting from reactive inspections to proactive monitoring and early risk identification. In Luc Yen commune, the Party Committee has prioritized strengthening inspection and supervision to maintain discipline and enhance leadership capacity. This includes monitoring the implementation of central and provincial resolutions, as well as overseeing sensitive areas prone to negativity, such as land management, public investment, and budget execution.
