Vietnam concludes training program for 14th Central Committee members

The training and knowledge update program for the first class of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam concluded in Hanoi. The program, organized by the Central Organization Commission and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, involved 63 Central Committee members.

Nguyen Duy Ngoc, member of the Politburo and Head of the Central Organization Commission, stated that the program marks a fundamental shift in high-level leadership training. The focus has moved from pure knowledge updates to developing five core competencies and creating knowledge based on practical experience. The goal is to transform learned insights into breakthrough decisions and institutions at local levels while establishing a lifelong learning system for leaders.

General Secretary and President To Lam previously highlighted the need to address the gap between rapidly changing realities and the inherent delay in policy-making processes. He emphasized that overcoming this requires innovative methods—simultaneously implementing, testing, evaluating, and adjusting based on feedback—rather than simply increasing speed through old methods. This approach demands a spirit of initiative and responsibility for the common good, grounded in political, legal, and scientific principles.
