Police in Tuyên Quang province have indicted a total of 26 suspects in connection with a large‑scale exam fraud at the provincial specialized high school. The indictment includes the school principal and several staff members accused of abusing their positions to assist students during the 2026 high‑school graduation exam, where 147 of the 328 examinees achieved a perfect score of 10 in mathematics and the group’s average was 9.58 – the highest in the country.

Investigators say the principal and a deputy head directed staff to facilitate certain candidates, with a teacher acting as exam clerk providing guidance during the test. The Ministry of Education and Training has been monitoring the case, emphasizing both strict discipline and the protection of students’ legal rights. The scandal has raised concerns about fairness in university admissions for students from the school.
