Phú Thọ police detain land‑fraud scheme operator Lê Thị Hạnh

Lê Thị Hạnh, born in 1992 and residing in Phù Ninh commune, Phú Thọ province, was arrested and placed in temporary detention on 23 June 2026. Police allege she pretended to be a qualified facilitator for land‑title transfers, land‑use changes and other cadastral procedures, collecting deposits and fees from dozens of victims. She never submitted the paperwork to the relevant authorities, instead keeping documents at her home or using them to lure further clients. The scheme involved forged tax obligations and repeated delays to extract additional payments. Seventeen complaints were filed, with the total amount reportedly exceeding 4.6 billion VND. The investigation continues, and authorities have urged any other victims to come forward.
