Vietnam deepens economic cooperation with Greece and Mauritania

Vietnam’s foreign policy is moving from diplomatic statements to concrete economic partnerships. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung met Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis to expand cooperation in trade, investment, maritime economy, logistics, shipbuilding, renewable energy, science and technology, and to explore direct flights, leveraging the EU‑Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.

Vietnam also continues to play a leading role in ASEAN‑EU cooperation, acting as the ASEAN country coordinator for economic relations and participating in the Just Energy Transition Partnership. The government is advancing projects in the digital economy, energy transition, sustainable development and broader trade initiatives.

In parallel, Vietnam is expanding ties with Mauritania, seeking joint work in agriculture, telecommunications, mining, oil and gas, education, healthcare and aquaculture, reflecting a development‑oriented foreign‑policy approach.
