On the evening of October 2, 2026, seven officers from the Vietnam People's Public Security departed from Noi Bai International Airport to join the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
The group, identified as Working Group No. 10, includes Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Anh, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Nguyen, Major Phan Dac Cuong, Captain Pham Phuoc Loc, Captain Bui Trung Dung, Captain Nguyen Phuong Mai, and Captain Nguyen Lan Anh. The deployment follows a formal decision by the President of Vietnam, which was announced by the Ministry of Public Security on October 1.
In 2026, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed four working groups totaling 25 individual officers for UN peacekeeping duties, marking the highest level of participation since the force began these activities. The mission in the Central African Republic focuses on protecting civilians, patrolling high-risk areas, supporting local security forces, and enhancing the capacity of local police and gendarmerie through criminal investigation support and community policing.
