On 27 July the Central Party Committee announced the appointment of Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyễn Đức Tâm as Deputy Party Secretary of Quảng Ngãi Province for the 2025‑2030 term and introduced him as the candidate for Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi People’s Committee for the 2026‑2031 term. The decision was formally presented at the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee headquarters. Nguyễn Đức Tâm, 45, a native of Hưng Yên with a master’s degree in economics, has more than 20 years of experience in national planning and finance ministries.

In the same meeting the Party also confirmed that Lieutenant General Tô Anh Dũng, who has served as Deputy Party Secretary of Thanh Hóa for the 2025‑2030 term, was elected Chairman of the Thanh Hóa People’s Committee for the 2026‑2031 term with a 100 % vote. The election was held at the Thanh Hóa Provincial People’s Council on 27 July. Tô Anh Dũng, a former police officer with extensive senior‑level experience, will now lead the province’s executive while continuing his party‑leadership role.
