Vietnam Deputy PM meets Siam City Cement CEO to discuss investment
Vietnam's Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc met with Ranja Sachdeva, CEO of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (SCCC), to discuss continued investment and cooperation in the construction materials sector. The Deputy Prime Minister praised SCCC’s operations in Vietnam through its joint venture, INSEE Vietnam, noting its contributions to local infrastructure and employment.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister encouraged SCCC to deepen its involvement in the industry by adopting scientific technologies, digital transformation, and circular economy models. He emphasized that the Vietnamese government remains committed to creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, particularly as the country aims for high growth through 2030, which will drive significant demand for infrastructure, urban development, and seaport projects.
In a separate session, Pham Gia Tuc met with the Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors and various construction firms. He instructed the Ministry of Finance to review the association's proposals and urged relevant ministries to ensure a steady supply of materials for national projects. He also called on construction enterprises to modernize management models, enhance project capacity, and apply advanced technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and automation.
