Vietnam Digital Payment Day 2026 announced with focus on green living

Organizers have officially announced the 2026 Vietnam Digital Payment Day series under the theme ‘Digital Touch-Green Living’. This marks the sixth season of the program and the first transition from its previous name, ‘Vietnam Card Day’, reflecting a shift in the market toward a more diverse digital payment ecosystem.

Co-organized by Tien Phong Newspaper and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) under the direction of the State Bank of Vietnam, the event highlights the evolution from physical cards to QR codes, mobile wallets, and biometric payments. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Payment Department at the State Bank of Vietnam, noted that the market is moving from changing habits to optimizing user experiences and integrating payments into essential sectors like healthcare, education, and public services.
