Vietnam drama “Lửa trắng” episode 5 sees Lão Công suspect Mai’s motives

In episode 5 of the Vietnamese series Lửa trắng, Lão Công (NSƯT Hồ Phong) meets Mai (Việt Hoa) at his company. Their encounter turns hostile and Lão Công, still haunted by the death of his only son, grows wary of Mai, questioning why she seeks him despite her mother’s disapproval.

Lão Công installs a hidden camera to monitor Mai and overhears a heated exchange in which Mai’s mother calls Lão Công a “thằng Công” and declares she does not want her daughter involved with him. Later, Mai and her mother are forced at gunpoint by two thugs in the countryside, one of whom asks the mother if she is Lão Công’s lover, prompting a hostile reply.

The episode also follows Tài, who, after a colleague’s fatal mistake, becomes reckless in his effort to dismantle a drug‑trafficking ring in Sơn Hải, drawing dangerous attention to himself.
