Vietnam drives trade, investment and fintech growth at 2026 Financial Forum
The Vietnam Financial Forum 2026 will be held in Da Nang on July 9‑10, gathering more than 350 policymakers, international finance officials and fintech firms to discuss sustainable investment and breakthrough financial innovation.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung highlighted a new national traceability system that will improve transparency for farm produce, helping protect the reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in global markets. Vietnam Airlines announced its first direct route to Colombo, Sri Lanka, expanding air links to South Asia. Hanoi unveiled 276 priority investment projects focused on high‑value sectors such as semiconductors, AI, biotech, modern logistics and green finance under its 100‑year development vision.
Vietnam’s tilapia exports surged, reaching $62 million in the first five months of 2026, more than double the same period last year, while trade with Israel approached $1.6 billion in the first five months, on track for a record $3.9 billion annual total. The foreign ministry also pledged to strengthen business ties with Australia and New Zealand. These initiatives underscore Vietnam’s push to deepen integration into global supply chains and attract high‑quality foreign investment.
