Vietnam e‑commerce platform Shopee drives surge in large‑size furniture and appliance sales

Demand for bulky home goods such as furniture, large appliances and other oversized household items is rising in Vietnam, with consumers increasingly using online channels that now offer comprehensive search, comparison, delivery and installation services.

ECDB estimates online furniture revenue will reach $1.85 bn in 2025, a 10‑15 % increase over the previous year, while Mordor Intelligence projects an annual growth rate of about 13.35 % through 2031. Shopee reports that the average daily orders for large‑size products in the first half of 2026 were almost double those in the same period of 2025, particularly for sofas, beds, wardrobes and large appliances, opening new growth opportunities for brands and sellers.
