Vietnam education authorities implement administrative and curriculum reforms

Vietnam's educational authorities are implementing reforms to reduce administrative burdens and improve curriculum quality. The Department of Education and Training has directed educational institutions to review and cut unnecessary paperwork, reports, meetings, and competitions. The goal is to alleviate administrative pressure and allow more time for teaching and learning. Schools are instructed to avoid organizing competitions solely for achievement purposes and must ensure that voluntary activities do not become mandatory tasks or financial burdens for students.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Education and Training is drafting a plan to review and adjust the general education program and textbooks. This review aims to reduce academic theory in favor of increased practical experience and comprehensive education. The Ministry emphasized a scientific and cautious approach, stating that any adjustments will be based on professional expertise and legal regulations to ensure stability and prevent unnecessary disruption to teaching and learning activities.
